Fully Utilising Measure - Add Ons

I see some of our users using Measure to give them quantities for the main products in a project (carpet, vinyl, tile etc.), but then take those quantities and use other methods to calculate miscellaneous items and labour.

If this is your practice, you are getting less than 50% of the value Measure has for you.

By setting up Add-on products, Measure users can have Measure calculate almost every aspect of a flooring project. In fact I would be hard pressed to think of a miscellaneous product or service that Measure can’t calculate; installation, adhesive, trims, weld rod, stair nosings, corners; as I say, pretty much anything.

So what are the benefits? Speed and accuracy.

In the example below, I have used add-ons for every aspect of the project:

Each of the three products has related add-on products and services, giving me a worksheet showing quantities for everything needed for the project:

What makes add-ons even more powerful, is the ability to link add-on products to your main product. If you know that you will always want a quantity for adhesive, weld rod, welding seams, and cove cap for a vinyl, attach the add-ons to the product and these will be calculated every time you use the product. If on occasion an add-on product is not required, simply delete it from the add-ons screen in the project.

Setting up add-ons takes a little time (although not much), and add-on groups can be copied and pasted from one product to another, simplifying the process even further.
